According to the regulations of the Indian Immigration Authority governing the use of e-Visas or Electronic India Visas, individuals are currently permitted to depart India using an e-Visa through various modes of transportation, including air travel, train journeys, bus travel, or cruise ship voyages. This applies to those who have obtained a Tourist e-Visa, Business e-Visa , or Medical e-Visa for India. Departure from India can occur through specified airports or seaports, as listed below.
For individuals holding a multiple entry Visa, the flexibility exists to exit through different airports or seaports, eliminating the requirement to use the same point of entry or exit for subsequent visits. It is advisable to regularly check and bookmark the list of authorized Immigration Check Points (ICPs) on this website, as the list undergoes periodic revisions every few months, with additional airports and seaports expected to be included in the coming months as directed by the India Immigration Authority.
Please note that entry into India using an electronic India Visa (Indian e-Visa) remains permissible through only two means of transport: airports or cruise ships.
